Fantasy Football, Magic the Gathering, the intersection between the two. Ben, Geoff and Murph return for a wonderfully dorky evening. Geoff and Ben explain to Murph about the Fantasy Footballs. We talk about some of the decks we’re building. Also, were going to try and to a Fantasy Pro Tour Honolulu. If you feel like getting in on it, contact us. Rules for the Fantasy Pro Tour Honolulu Everyone drafts 6 cards. You must must draft one card of each color, with multicolor, colorless and non-basic land rolled into an additional "color". You can not take a card someone else has picked. Picks do the 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3, 4 etc pattern.
For every instance of the card in the main deck of a top 8 deck, you get 2 point. For every instance of a card in the sideboard, you get 1 point
Mtg is great except for the players. Geoff, Ryan, Murph and Shade talk about Dark Ascension, and some of the worst parts of Magic, the players. Also a mention of D&D 5e, and of course, we play nerdy or not.
The 80's are back with a vengeance. Ben, Mike and Murph talk about the various remakes from the 80s that keep popping up. Princess Bride being remade?! There’s enough dork rage in this episode to power New York for a year!
Tattoos affecting dorky life. Murph and Ryan talk with new voice Geoff about Tattoos, Dark Ascension , Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. Nerdy or Not returns with a 80's cartoons edition. We share some embarrassing stories we probably shouldn't, but we don’t care, its Dork Night.
Also we are going to move to release date to MONDAY instead of FRIDAY. That means you get a Dork Night episode super close together!
If you don’t play Magic: the Gathering, skip to 28:06. Murph and Mike are joined by Ben and Alex for a discussion on the previewed cards of Dark Ascension. We've dropped Butt of the Week, but picked up Nerdy or Not. Murph has his best best transition to date, and we learn something about Mike's mom.
Dorks love list, cause we can argue about them. Murph, Ryan and Mike return, and Ben joins the dorks of Dork Night for episode 2. As 2011 draws to a close, the dorks list there top picks of the year. We talk about some more G. R. R. Martin, and we somehow manage to find a Butt of the Week that stands up to last weeks.
